Dear Calypso, I know somehow you will receive this letter. You're my sister and I know you'll find it way before I give it to you. Despite all of that, there has been something I've been wanting to tell you: the truth about Mom and Dad. There are things that you don't remember, but it is mainly because I refrained from telling you all of the details. We were both five and we had recently discovered our magic. Oh, Callie, we had so much fun together in the bathtub. You'd end up boiling the lukewarm water and I cooled it down so we wouldn't be Evans soup. About a month later, they took us to the grocery store. I remember we loved that place, well, before they straight up abandoned us! They didn't get lost or die. They left us. I saw them drive off without even looking back. Did they want us to die or wait for some other family to take us and do the same thing? Even I don't know this... However the things you do remember were true: getting found and being in foster care. Being ridiculed for being foster kids with no one to go to and for our magic. And with whatever family we did go to, they found out eventually and... you remember seeing me hobble back to our room with blood and bruises across my body.
